Kanou Shinichi grew up in a household headed by a father who writes light novels and a mother who draws eroge, so he is thoroughly steeped in otaku culture. His greatest strengths are his deep knowledge, keen insight, and flawless instincts when it comes to "moe" and related media—manga, anime, games, light novels, and figurines. One day, Shinichi is abruptly whisked away to a fantasy realm where elves and dragons exist. There, he receives a mission to spread cultural exchange as a "moe missionary." He encounters a palace guard with a secret fujoshi side, a half-elf maid, and a young empress. Inspired, he resolves to establish a school. What starts as a comedic journey gradually turns into tackling weighty issues like ethnic discrimination, social problems, disputes with foreign nations, and sabotage from enemies—including certain factions within the Japanese government. Can Shinichi overcome these hurdles, successfully spread moe culture across the fantasy world, and bring help to its people?
