Shin Yajikita Douchuuki

新 やじきた道中記

Hasegawa Machiko, a fan of Kabuki and period dramas, made her first attempt at serializing a topknot manga with "Shin Yajikita Douchuuki" (New Journey of Yaji and Kita). It is an adaptation of Jippensha Ikku's "Tokai Dochu Hizakurige," written during the Edo period, and follows the amusing journey of Yaji-san and Kita-san as they travel from Edo to Ise. While incorporating episodes reminiscent of the original work, Machiko's unique humor and fun journey unfolds, with the Sazae-san family also making appearances along the way. They stop by real cities such as Odawara, Hamamatsu, and Okazaki.
