During the 13th century, the Mongol Empire swiftly conquers many lands. According to interpretations of Nostradamus's prophecies, Mongolia is the birthplace of the "Great King of Terror," known as Angolmois. The Mongols eventually set their sights on Japan. In 1274, the Bun'ei Invasion begins. Jinzaburou Kuchii, a samurai living in exile, arrives in Kamakura as the invasion unfolds. This story offers a novel perspective on the monumental conflict that shaped all of medieval Japan during the Mongol Invasion, centering on the inhabitants of Tsushima—their terror, hardships, and eventual defiance against their overwhelming enemy.
