This volume presents two principal tales, both drawn from the horror genre. The opening story carries all the markings of classic gothic fiction—an imposing castle with dark, winding passages, a brooding, tormented fanged hero, an innocent blonde heroine, and furious villagers bearing torches. The second is a more contemporary narrative, populated with ghosts, demons, and a handful of vampires.
