Fushimi Inari has strong feelings for her classmate Tanbabashi. When she tries to get closer to him, she ends up embarrassing him in front of their classmates, and he refuses to forgive her. Things get worse when she learns that he might actually be interested in their adorable classmate Sumizome. With this heavy heart, Inari meets Uka-no-Mitama-no-Kami, a pale fox deity who appears before her after Inari rescued a small fox spirit that day. The goddess grants her a wish as thanks, and Inari immediately wishes to become Sumizome. Unfortunately, the wish doesn't go as planned, and the kind goddess breaks a sacred rule, giving Inari the ability to switch between her own form and Sumizome's. Now able to change at will, Inari grapples with the urge to use her new power to win Tanbabashi's affection. However, if she uses her ability openly, both she and the goddess risk facing the anger of Amaterasu.
