During a thunderstorm, the energetic athlete Yamato Hino hears strange voices and is transported to a parallel world known as the Kingdom Mu. This kingdom is under attack by Dorado, the evil ruler of the Empire of Dinosaurs. Called upon by Queen Aila Mu, Yamato takes control of a sacred statue named God Mazinger. Joining the Mu forces, he fights against Dorado and his troops to protect the realm.
