When the love he holds for the woman he cherished is shattered, the realization that dawns on him is that he is in love with another man. Kazuhiko works as a sales representative in the apparel industry. Takako, the manager of one of the shops he visits, is a close female friend, but she's also someone he can't help but see as a potential romantic partner. However, a sparkling engagement ring already adorns her left ring finger. Then, one day, Toru, a staff member at Takako's shop, tells Kazuhiko that he plans to quit. Toru is a man who is always expressionless and impossible to read, and he has consistently made things awkward between them. Hearing that Toru will be leaving the shop, Kazuhiko finds himself feeling relieved rather than disappointed... or at least, so he thinks.
