In Blalock City, the criminal underworld fears the name Witch Raven—a masked vigilante who operates in the dead of night, leaving victims permanently scarred. By day, that same person lives quietly as Vanna Spalding, an ordinary herbalist running a modest shop selling herbs and potions. Hidden beneath the store is a secret basement filled with illegal mixtures and remnants of nocturnal activities. Vanna believes this double life is secure until police officer Sion Crawford stumbles upon the hidden lair. Though the authorities are actively hunting Witch Raven, Sion makes no move to make an arrest. After one of Vanna's experimental potions causes an accident, Sion instead asks for her help in solving a case that threatens to spiral into something far more dangerous than either of them anticipates.
