In High☆Speed!, the story centers on Nanase Haruka, a sixth-grade elementary school student who has a profound love for water and swimming. He practices at a local swim club with his childhood friends Tachibana Makoto and the slightly younger Hazuki Nagisa. During a winter before their graduation, Matsuoka Rin transfers to their school from another swim club. Haruka's connection with Makoto, Nagisa, and the new arrival Rin deepens due to their shared passion for swimming. Inspired by Rin's excitement for the medley relay, he suggests they form a team to compete in an upcoming tournament.
