The series centers on Sally, a lively and tomboyish witch. One day, she chases an advertising balloon into a department store, where she meets Sumire and Yoshiko, two girls around her age. Envious of their friendship, Sally decides to befriend them. After growing close to Sumire and Yoshiko, she chooses to live among humans in the town alongside her companion Kabu. Through this experience, she begins to value things beyond magic.
