Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children

Setsuna Kai, a first-year elementary student, dedicates himself to becoming stronger in honor of his mother after her death. Despite training daily at the kendo club, he still cannot defeat his friend and rival, Mirai Kaname. One evening after practice, a strange black fog envelops Tokyo, causing the temperature to drop sharply and covering the city in icy snow even though it is summer. When Setsuna returns to his dimly lit apartment, he is startled as a child crashes through the wall, hands him a wrapped package, and dies in his arms. Before he can process what happened, a demon appears and tries to kill him. In a moment of desperation, Setsuna's survival instinct awakens a hidden power, allowing him to summon his own demon. Cool, a Cerberus demon, explains that Setsuna is one of eight Devil Children chosen to fight against Hell, and they must act now to save the world from destruction. Initially reluctant to take on such a heavy burden, Setsuna's determination to surpass Mirai strengthens his resolve. Together with Mirai, another chosen Devil Child, Setsuna journeys into the Demon World to find the remaining six Devil Children and complete their mission.
