P and Q are alien girls from the planet Fuiren, serving as the queen's elite bodyguards. When they discover their queen has gone missing, they come to Earth in search of her. While trying to pose as ordinary schoolgirls, their ability to transform between human-like and cockroach-like forms, along with their battles against monsters, arouses the suspicion of a local boy.

Background

PQ Angels gained a fair amount of popularity, but was cancelled due to the Japanese publisher Kodansha losing seven pages of Takeuchi Naoko's manuscript. This led to her and her editor Osano Fumio's departure to Shueisha. Takeuchi said that Toei Animation had the manuscript of the series, therefore it would have been possible to create an anime adaptation.
