Hotaru Yanagawa, a high school student aspiring to be a police officer, works to juggle her schoolwork and her drive to defend others and uphold justice. Yet the city faces serious troubles like abductions and crime syndicates, threats that might prove too much for her to tackle on her own. Rather than await her official qualifications, Hotaru chooses to act immediately, stepping into the role of a young detective to face the city's most dangerous dangers.

Kids Joker had one volume published in English by ADV Manga on March 1, 2005 before the license was dropped and the publisher went defunct.
