Sanchoume no Kami-sama

Five years ago, Chihiro was forced to say goodbye to his childhood friend Inaho when his parents decided to relocate to a larger city in pursuit of stable employment. Now, Chihiro is heading back to the countryside to spend time with his grandparents. The journey stirs up old memories, unkept promises, and lingering regrets. For Chihiro's father, Hirotomo, regret is all that remains—his own ambitions were what drove the family to abandon their rural life. While staying at his grandparents' home, Chihiro recalls the vow he made to Inaho: "No matter how long it takes, we will meet again."
