Ippei has an intense phobia of women, often becoming nauseous or ill in their presence. Though his father recommends an all-boys school, Ippei chooses a coeducational high school. His father agrees on the condition that if Ippei fails the entrance exam, he must dress as a woman and work as a waitress at his father's restaurant. During the exam, Ippei sits next to a female student and subsequently fails, forcing him to abide by his father's demand and serve customers while cross-dressed. One day, a crying girl enters the restaurant. Touched by her sorrow, Ippei gives her extra food and tries to comfort her. Surprisingly, he experiences no negative reactions while helping her and even starts developing feelings for her. However, she sees him as a woman, creating a predicament: Ippei hates cross-dressing but realizes it might be his only way to connect with the girls he likes.
