Lodoss-tou Senki

Following the cataclysmic war among the gods, the island of Lodoss was born, and its kingdoms have known endless strife for centuries. Just as a fragile peace begins to settle across the land, a long-dormant evil stirs. An ancient witch awakens, intent on keeping Lodoss divided by sowing political chaos among its kingdoms, ensuring no single faction can ever secure lasting power. Opposing this threat—and the looming return to war and destruction—is a party of six young heroes from different races, guided by the fledgling warrior Parn.

Background

Lodoss-tou Senki started as a Dungeons & Dragons setting with systems based on Tunnels & Trolls and Runescape. The popularity of the replays, or transcripts of the RPG sessions, led to the franchise's creation, starting with the first novel. Numerous adaptations have followed, including video games, various RPG books, radio plays, short stories, and more. The first novel, Haiiro no Majo, was published in English as The Grey Witch by Seven Seas Entertainment on December 19, 2017. The first four novels were published in French by Calmann-Levy from February 14, 2006, to January 7, 2009. It was also released in Brazilian Portuguese by NewPOP Editora from June 7, 2021, to May 31, 2024.
