In a society without women, men have created androids known as Marionettes to assist them, enforcing strict rules on how they can interact with humans. This standard changes when Otaru Mamiya, a boy from a modest upbringing, encounters Lime, a Saber Marionette model built with the capacity to feel emotions thanks to a special circuitry. After Otaru awakens two more Saber Marionettes, his previously ordinary life becomes extraordinary, shaped by his lively and beautiful new companions.
