In "Kiteretsu Daihyakka," the protagonist is a prodigious child named Kiteretsu, who has built a robot companion called Korosuke. Using a time machine of his own creation, Kiteretsu frequently travels to different historical eras alongside Korosuke and his friends. Living close by is Miyoko, who serves as his girlfriend. His rival is Tongari, a character who strongly resembles Honekawa Suneo. Meanwhile, the local bully Buta Gorilla (whose real name is Kumada Kaoru) shares numerous traits with Gian (Takeshi Goda), but often targets Korosuke specifically for harassment. All of these characters are elementary school students.
