Asatte no Houkou

The story centers on Karada Iokawa, a girl about to start her first year of junior high after summer break, and Shouko Nogami, a young woman who has just returned home and was previously the girlfriend of Karada’s older brother, Hiro. On the day Shouko arrives back, Karada brings her along to the beach with Hiro and their friends, since Shouko and Hiro were once close years ago. Still angry with Hiro for leaving her behind in the United States, Shouko insults Karada by calling her ribbons childish, which stings Karada deeply because she hates being seen as immature. Later that same evening, Karada wishes at a shrine to grow up faster. Her wish comes true unexpectedly, and she transforms into a young adult. At the same time, Shouko reverts to an eleven-year-old girl, losing her grown-up form.
