Rasen is the eldest son of a family of historians who have passed down the legend of the nine-tailed fox bride through generations. Because of his daily laziness, he is offered to the mountain where the nine-tailed fox was said to live—not as a bride, but as a sacrifice. What appears before him is a man as handsome as any human, except he has ears and a tail.
