Waking up on a vast, snow-covered plain I did not recognize, I had no memory of how I got there or even who I was. Disoriented and confused, things took a turn for the worse when a gigantic insect-like monster appeared and rushed straight at me. I tried to flee, but soon found myself cornered with no way out. Just when all hope seemed lost, a girl named Kuon—who had animal ears and a tail—showed up and saved me from certain death.
