In an era where ninja ruled Japan as feared demigods through their martial mastery, some of them carried out the forbidden harakiri ritual, sealing their spirits inside Kinkaku Temple for later resurrection. The true history of these ninja was hidden, and over time, the reality of their existence faded away. In a world where cybernetic enhancements and digital networks are worshipped like gods, the souls of ancient ninja emerge in the dark corners of Neo-Saitama. Kenji Fujikido, an ordinary salaryman, gets caught in a ninja conflict and loses his family. On the brink of death, a secretive ninja spirit takes over his body. Brought back from the dead, Fujikido becomes Ninja Slaughter, an unyielding avenger sworn to eliminate malicious ninja. Driven by vengeance, he battles the evil forces of the Soukai Syndicate ninja in the grim setting of Neo-Saitama.
