Hikari no Densetsu

A girl named Hikari Kamijou aspires to become a national champion in rhythmic gymnastics. Hikari no Densetsu is primarily a romance set in a late-80s junior high school environment. The story follows four characters as they strive toward their goals. Hikari Kamijou is a young, naive, carefree girl who has dreamed of becoming an Olympic rhythmic gymnastics champion ever since she saw a performance by the young Bulgarian star Diliana Georgieva. Although her skills are poor and she lacks confidence in her abilities as a rhythmic gymnast, she is deeply passionate about the sport and occasionally shows flashes of brilliance in her routines.
