A boy fights. Liberté is a lawless city that operates beyond the reach of the national government. Mac, a boy who lives there, earns his living through boxing. One day, a monster called a Teraton appears, and Jimmy—Mac's friend and a member of his family—finds himself in danger. Thanks to a special police unit tasked with eliminating Teratons, Jimmy and Mac barely survive, but they end up hospitalized in a facility outside of Liberte. However, Jimmy is then kidnapped. To find him, Mac joins a special unit that brings together people with extraordinary abilities.
