Mushi-Uta

ムシウタ

In Mushi-uta, the story unfolds roughly a decade after the emergence of enigmatic insect-like beings known as Mushi, which feed on human dreams and thoughts and grant their hosts incredible powers. The protagonist, Daisuke "Kakkou" Kusuriya, forms a close connection with a girl named Shiika Anmoto. As their bond grows, Kakkou remains unaware that Shiika is actually an escapee from GARDEN, a secret facility that detains people infected by Mushi, called Mushitsuki. When the Special Environmental Conservation Executive Office, GARDEN's military division, sends its most lethal operative to retrieve Shiika, they are met with resistance from the Mushibane rebel group, led by the mysterious figure known only as Ladybird.
