Human civilization fell in 2097 after a celestial impact. Seventy years later, survivors remain in space, unable to step onto Earth. Among them are individuals known as "Divers," who can project avatars onto the planet to pull information from its digital networks. Suzuro is a 14-year-old freelance Diver—highly skilled but C-ranked. She works from a salvage ship alongside her pilot Ginga, who maneuvers the vessel through space debris while she is connected to Earth. Her assistant Shimugi also supports her operations. The dangers of diving are twofold: the ship risks collision with space debris, and hazards on Earth can damage her avatar, endangering her life. Suzuro must carefully choose which assignments to take, ensuring the potential reward justifies the risk.
