In "Digimon Xros Wars," Taiki dreams of commanding a Digimon army to battle enemies like Mammon, Rhinomon, and Valvemon. Using Digixros, he fuses Shoutmon, Balistamon, and Dorulumon into Shoutmon x4 to overwhelm the opposing forces. One morning, Akari wakes Taiki with her signature "Akari Strike" after he sleeps in. When Taiki meets Zenjirou, he hears a strange melody and Shoutmon's cries for help. Determined to locate the voice, Taiki searches while Akari and Zenjirou follow closely. As a vehicle is about to hit Taiki, Shoutmon warns him, letting him dodge the danger. Suddenly, the area warps and electronics malfunction. Spotting a light and hearing the same tune, a mysterious voice asks Taiki if he wants to save the melody. A Xros Loader appears, and Taiki follows the voice's instructions to absorb the tune into the device. The trio then falls through a wormhole into the Digital World, landing right in the middle of the Bagura Army led by Mach Leomon—the same army from Taiki's vision.
