Kimi wa Nazotoki no Ma Chérie

In 1930s Japan, an era marked by major social transformation, My Dear Detective: Mitsuko's Case Files follows Mitsuko Hoshino, the nation's first female detective. Though she constantly faces doubt and patronizing remarks about both her gender and chosen career, Mitsuko remains dedicated to her work at the Ginza Detective Bureau and is determined to demonstrate her abilities. While having coffee one afternoon, she encounters Saku Yoshida, a courteous waiter who asks for her help in finding the owner of a mysterious shoe. After resolving that case, Mitsuko learns that Saku, formerly a college student from a wealthy family, has become estranged from his relatives and is now working as her assistant at the bureau. As the pair tackle various investigations together, their bond grows stronger against the backdrop of a changing society.
