In a world rife with injustice, Britannia's Holy Knights protect their realm with immense magical power and martial prowess. Among those they hunt are "The Seven Deadly Sins," a band of outlaws once hailed as the mightiest of Britannia's Holy Knights. Falsely charged with conspiring to overthrow the Kingdom of Liones, they were supposedly crushed by the Holy Knights—yet rumors persist that these legendary warriors still live. A decade later, a twist of fate unfolds as the very Holy Knights themselves orchestrate a rebellion, imprisoning Liones' king and seizing control. Princess Elizabeth Liones, third in line to the throne, ventures forth to locate the Seven Deadly Sins and seek their aid. Her search leads her to a tavern run by Meliodas, the Dragon's Sin of Wrath and former leader of the disgraced knights. Together, they set out to reunite Meliodas' old comrades. Will their path be one of hope or ruin?

Nanatsu no Taizai won the 39th Kodansha Manga Awards in the shounen manga demographic category, alongside Yowamushi Pedal.
