When the company he worked for went under, Yahiro found himself unemployed and decided to take a chance on a tour to Yatogami Island organized by a TV network. The prize: $500,000 for whoever manages to locate the Tsuchinoko, a legendary UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal). Yahiro is one of the few people who join the expedition. But among UMA enthusiasts, Yatogami Island has a dark reputation—no one who has ever set foot on the island has come out alive. Before long, the group discovers the reason behind that grim record and finds itself fighting for survival.
