Omamori Himari

おまもりひまり

Yuuto Amakawa has a serious allergy to cats, frequently giving him a runny nose, particularly when near Rinko's cat. But on the day he turns sixteen, his problems go well beyond his allergies. A curvy cat spirit named Himari, who carries a sword and takes on a human form, appears before him, pledging to protect him from the vengeful spirits that have now targeted Yuuto. Faced with these supernatural dangers, Yuuto understands that his allergies are the smallest of his worries; he will rely on Himari's aid to survive the year.

Background

Omamori Himari was published in English by Yen Press from October 26, 2010 to July 22, 2014, as well as in eBook format from November 14, 2011 to July 22, 2014. Yen Press also released a guidebook companion for the manga and anime and labeled it as Volume 0, which was published digitally and in print on September 25 and October 30, 2012 respectively. The series has also been published in Italian by Panini Comics under the Planet Manga imprint as Il Talismano - Omamori Himari since June 7, 2014.
