The story takes place in the fictional city of Kazamatsuri, where extensive tree-planting efforts have created an environment lush with greenery and flowers, making the urban landscape resemble a forest more than a typical city. Even with this countryside-like appearance, Kazamatsuri still preserves many ordinary city elements. This modern town has a distinct sense of old-fashioned appeal. The story is primarily set around the events and characters of a high school.
