In Stern Bild, a city where individuals with extraordinary abilities—known as "NEXT"—first appeared forty-five years ago due to a mysterious genetic mutation, some used their powers for crime while others took on the role of heroes to protect the populace. However, being a hero in Stern Bild involves more than just fighting villains; it also means promoting corporate sponsors and competing for high ratings on the popular show HERO TV. Veteran hero Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, also called "Wild Tiger," is currently struggling in the rankings. After a mistake caused by his own shortcomings leads to his sponsor being taken over by Apollon Media, he is forced to team up with the arrogant newcomer Barnaby "Bunny" Brooks Jr. Despite their potential as a powerful duo against criminals, they frequently clash because of their differing methods: Tiger acts on instinct and charges headfirst into action, while Bunny prefers a carefully planned approach. To reach the top, they must learn to cooperate despite their conflicting styles.
