In Fuyuki, Greek mythology is reimagined in a modern setting, focusing on the romance between Hades, the God of the Underworld, and Persephone, daughter of Demeter. Although the Greek gods have taken human forms while retaining their immense powers, Arisa, a high school student, has no memory of her former identity as Persephone or her connection to Hades. In this era, Hades goes by the name Amano, a classmate of Arisa. Despite her amnesia, Arisa feels an irresistible attraction toward Amano, reflecting the deep bond that once linked Persephone and Hades in the past. Amano is determined to protect Arisa from Zeus, who seeks to uncover the mysterious power that once belonged to Persephone and now lies dormant within Arisa.
