Tenkuu no Escaflowne

In the anime version of "Tenkuu no Escaflowne," high schooler Hitomi is whisked away from Earth to the magical world of Gaea. There, she encounters Prince Van Fanel and gets swept into his mission to bring together Gaea's kingdoms to resist the threatening Zaibach Empire. Along her travels, Hitomi uncovers latent abilities within herself and unravels the secrets surrounding Van, his past, and the massive mecha called Escaflowne.
