Tan Pan Ting and Gu Jiao Wen's first encounter happens when she's drowning her sorrows at a bar, and he wrongly assumes she's a drug dealer. Just as she starts to recognize her growing feelings for him, she spots a beautiful woman adjusting his tie and overhears their intimate conversation, leading her to believe he's having an affair.
