After a decade has passed since the Holy War in Hong Kong, Mochizuki Jirou—the Silver Blade and sole survivor of the conflict against the Kowloon Children, having lost someone dear to him—comes back to Japan alongside his younger brother, Mochizuki Kotarou. Once there, they learn that remnants of the Kowloon Children are attempting to breach the "Special Zone," a prosperous city shielded by an invisible barrier that bars their entry unless they possess an invitation. Humans are called Red Bloods, vampires are known as Black Bloods, and the Mochizuki brothers belong to the Old Blood, the final heirs of a noble vampire bloodline. When Kotarou is kidnapped by a member of the Kowloon Children, Jirou must take up arms once more.
