This fictional retelling of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's life adds a new twist: Mozart was actually born female, but her father decided to raise her as a boy after recognizing her early musical talent. The story primarily unfolds when Mozart is 25, thriving as a musician in Vienna. "He" enjoys immense popularity, especially among women, but mostly avoids them to safeguard "his" gender secret. Unfortunately, fellow composer Antonio Salieri suspects that Mozart is truly a woman. When Mozart begins wooing Constanze Weber, it seems impossible for "his" secret and career to survive.
