Touta Konoe, a twelve-year-old boy, lives in a tranquil rural village, dreaming of the vast metropolis that reaches into the sky. To fulfill this ambition, he must first defeat his teacher and guardian, Yukihime, who has promised to allow him to leave once he bests her. His life changes when a bounty hunter arrives, aiming to capture Yukihime. Determined to protect her and his friends, Touta follows Yukihime's order and drinks her blood, which turns him into an immortal being capable of overcoming the hunter. Yukihime then reveals her true nature: she is Evangeline Athanasia Katherine McDowell, a vampire who has lived for centuries. With her secret exposed, they escape to the capital, beginning an exciting journey that will profoundly alter their futures.
