Hachinohe Akemi, a 30-year-old single woman, works at a Japanese confectionery shop. After she lends a hand to 15-year-old Nikaidou Shion, who works part-time at a nearby convenience store, Shion begins appearing at Akemi's place of employment. The question is how Akemi will react when Shion declares that she likes her.
