In the series "To Heart," the sweet but shy high school student Akari deals with the challenges of adolescence together with her childhood friends Hiroyuki and Masashi. Although she regards them as family, her emotions for the kind-hearted Hiroyuki become increasingly strong. Her romantic situation becomes more complicated when the graceful upperclasswoman Serika Kurusugawa shows up. Unexpectedly, Akari gets support from Multi, an android in training to become a maid robot, whose mechanical way of looking at things may help Akari overcome her shyness and win Hiroyuki's love.
