During a high school opening ceremony, a transferring underclassman named Nomiya unexpectedly hugs Kaede, recalling their shared summer from childhood. Nomiya makes every effort to reestablish a connection with Kaede. However, Kaede is still struggling with the loss of their brother, whose suicide might have been triggered by severe stress and anxiety associated with a potential case of gender dysphoria. Despite this emotional turmoil, Kaede finds it difficult to resist Nomiya’s persistent attempts at forming a bond. As time goes on, they grow closer, transitioning from acquaintances to close friends—and beyond.
