After discovering on her birthday that her best friend is in a relationship with the boy she has feelings for, Hitomi cries herself to sleep, wishing for her life to change. She awakens in a desert, where a young man wearing a turban informs her that she is a "jin"—a deity endowed with mysterious powers. Thrust into the world of the Arabian Nights, Hitomi becomes entangled in a dispute over the kingdom's throne and must confront adventure.
