Brewing coffee in the morning feels like a special ritual to begin the day. It is a time spent slowly and quietly, as if taking stock of one's body and mind. This is KISSATEN, a café located in a port town in the Netherlands. "Good morning." The one who arrives is Peter. He is a familiar face in the shopping arcade. Every day, he takes his place in a particular corner of the shopping street. From what I've heard, he struggles with mental issues and stands there to avoid being alone at home. I can picture it: one day he will come into the shop, and we will spend time together chatting over a morning coffee. That lovely scene. Since arriving here, I have found myself imagining many things. I don't know why. I always think about it while making coffee in this seaside town.
