Dagashi Kashi

だがしかし

In "Dagashi Kashi," Shikada Kokonotsu's father runs a rural candy shop and wants his son to eventually inherit the business. Kokonotsu, however, dreams of becoming a manga artist. One summer day, the delightfully eccentric Shidare Hotaru shows up, representing a major confectionery company. She explains that Kokonotsu's father is famous and offers him a position in her family's company. The father agrees, but only if Hotaru can persuade Kokonotsu to take over the candy store.
