Niji wo Yobu Ken

虹をよぶ拳

Makihiko Kasuga has moved to a junior high school located in a recently built housing development in the Tokyo metropolitan area. While he excels academically and ranks at the top of his class, his athletic ability is extremely lacking. In contrast, his classmate Ryuhei Akagaki is a talented all-around athlete but struggles with his studies. Kasuga found himself feeling envious of Akagaki. After learning that Akagaki's physical skills come from his karate practice, Kasuga decides to join the same dojo that Akagaki attends. However, because Kasuga is not naturally gifted at sports, his training fails to progress smoothly.
