In the world of Chrome Shelled Regios, the failure to construct space shuttles sparked worldwide conflicts due to dwindling resources, food, and materials. Amidst this chaos, a research organization named "Alchemist" continued developing the Subspace Creator System, referred to as the Aurora Field. Centuries afterward, the Aurora walls restrict human settlements, and the secrets beyond these barriers stay uncharted. Investigations into the world outside the Aurora Field begin, with Ailen among the scientists joining this exploration. He emerges as the lone survivor of the mission, though his body has been "altered" by the ordeal. As "Alchemist" pushes everyone toward insanity, Ailen must stand against them to safeguard the delicate peace inside the walls.
