Starting from where Zeta Gundam ends, this story follows the AEUG battleship Argama. Captain Bright Noa recruits a group of young scavengers led by the energetic and powerful Newtype Judau Ashta to pilot the ship's mobile suits against Neo Zeon, formerly Axis Zeon. With the powerful MSZ-010 Double Zeta Gundam, along with familiar units like the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam, RX-178 Gundam Mk-II, and the innovative MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki, the group becomes known as the Gundam Team. This marks the first time in the Gundam series that a team of Gundam units regularly fights together. The story culminates in the Battle of Axis in Side 3.
