Kazuma pursues his bold goal of revolutionizing Japan with bread despite significant obstacles and fierce rivalry, but he stays determined. He relocates to Tokyo with the aim of entering Pantasia, a famous bakery chain. Can Kazuma manage to get through the challenging admission test, or will his worthy ambition collapse?

Yakitate!! Japan won the 49th Shogakukan Manga Award in the Shounen category in 2003, along with Fullmetal Alchemist. The series was published in English by VIZ Media under the Shonen Sunday imprint from September 12, 2006, to April 12, 2011. It was also released in French by Delcourt.
