In the countryside of India, a baby is discovered and adopted by a Japanese man living in Tokyo, who names the child Ricky. Ricky is unique, born with a large tail, as he is actually a member of a humanoid species known as the "Zero-Men." These beings share traits with squirrels yet are much more powerful and intelligent than regular humans. Upon meeting his biological parents, Ricky learns that the Zero-Men reside in an underground nation beneath the Himalayas and have devised a sinister plan to exterminate all humans within 20,000 hours and seize control of Earth. Determined to help humanity despite his heritage, Ricky journeys to the Zero-Men's hidden land to confront the Grand Priest, their tyrannical leader who harbors a deep aversion to humans. Tokyo has become the epicenter of their activities, overseen by Enma Daio, the Grand Priest’s enforcer who is methodically carrying out the plan. Ricky, raised in human society, decides to fight against his own kind to protect the humans.
